This is a touchy subject and I hesitated with meditating on it due to the fact that some may take offense. But Jesus came not to worry about offending people, but to give them truth, so that’s my mission.
Ladies, you are a gift. Men, you are a gift as well. It’s important not to sale yourselves short to someone who doesn’t see you as so or gives a crap about you as a person at all. To give yourself fully to someone else is not something that should be thrown around and taken lightly, because it is so easy for someone to use you for simply just that & that be all. In media today, sexualality is so down played and is portrayed as a normal thing to flaunt it, show it, do it, and use it with no connection to a person at all. It sickens me, that people are brainwashed into thinking that it’s normal to have multiple partners or do it so casually as if there are no heart strings attached. What bullshit and lies (you can see my frustration & fire about it!). It’s completely ignorant for you to think this.
Yes, sex is natural and good, and God had a distinct purpose for it when he created both man & woman, but don’t fall for the deception and perverted version that you see in society. You see the intimacy in the act, that connects both people together is what’s important. How can you feel this deep connection & love with a person, when you are only meeting every now & then, or having a one night stand, or having sex with whoever whenever, how is that even enjoyable? It’s not. And if you are saying it is, you are lying to yourself. We all deserve commitment and to feel desired wholely & fully by one person alone. So don’t be foolish, know your worth, and more importantly wait for someone who truly cares for you, accepts you, loves you unconditionally, you know will be there through it all, and puts your feelings, heart, mind, & soul before themselves. God first, is key for this to take action. Here are some verses to back up my fired up rant on this….
Here is some talking about the sanctity of marriage and how in this commitment the perfect Christ-like love can be shared & enjoyed in a way that is GUARANTEED to bring everlasting joy, love, happiness, pleasure, and satisfaction, without the RISK of heartache & dispair:
“Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of your youth. As a loving deer and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and always be enraptured with her love.” Proverbs 5:18-19
“Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. But I say this as a concession, not as a commandment.” 1 Corinthians 7:2-6
Here are some other verses to help those dealing with sexual temptations:
“I say then: walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law (commandments). Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness.” Galatians 5:16-19
“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” James 1:12-17
