Fear (The Trickster)

You lurk in the darkness
Waiting for us.
To fall for the thing that haunts
too much to discuss.

You make me believe that it’s to hard to try.
You make me believe I’m too weak to fly.

You come right in, without me even knowing.
You break my dreams down,
And cause my head to ache.
You make me create mistake, after mistake.

I lose control of the peace
That was so hard to capture.
I end up just sitting here,
Alone, missing out on every adventure.

The words I say that come flying out,
I never mean at all.
You cause so much doubt.

You trickster, get out!
You aren’t welcomed here.
You won’t get me this time.
I have nothing to fear.
